The EBU Bay Oaks United 99 Team won the Davis Legacy Premier Cup, which took place from Sept 29th through the 30th. The United 99 team won three straight games to win its flight and move to the championship game. No other team in the division won all of their games in the flight. The Final was played at 1:20pm in temperatures exceeding 95 degrees. The United 99 team scored the first goal and looked to be on its way to the win, when their opponents Placer United scored with less than a minute of play left, sending the teams into double overtime. During the overtime period neither team scored -- meaning that penalty kicks would decide the championship. The final result was a United 99 win with three successful penalty kicks in succession, and the opposing team missing their first kick then having their second kick blocked.
