Nor Cal ACF Fiorentina Psycho -Motor Clinic PDF Print E-mail

Continuing our dedication to our coach development, 10 (ten) EBU Bay Oaks Coaches attended the recent Nor Cal / ACF Fiorentina Basic and Advanced Course held March 1st – 4th, 2011 at Holy Names University and Merritt College, Oakland. The East Bay United SC funded all coaches educations.

We were proud that our club had by far the highest number of participants in this clinic with 10 coaches attending including co-president Eric Sippel, Director of Coaching Glenn Van Straatum, Technical Director Peter Hayton (Advanced Course), Goalkeeper Director Mark Grody and newly appointed U9-U11 Boys Asst Director Andre Hebert. In addition many returning coaches including coaches Marco Plascencia, Dianne Chann and new club coaches Andrew Backer, Nori White and Benno Nagel attended the course as well.

These two courses signal our focus on the pre-technical abilities of our youngest players and is based on over 20 years of scientific research and successful application by Italy's club ACF Fiorentina, who has the best youth development program in Italy having developed 22 players for the Italian national pool of players.

The club has already taken significant steps in the direction of introducing ACF Fiorentina approach to the club through its Psycho Motor Skills pilot program in 2010 under leadership of Technical Director Peter Hayton. (See the Psycho-Motorskills website and video produced).
